Following a stellar 2021-22 campaign with the Waywayseecappo Wolverines, Lonan Bulger is taking his talents south of the border.
The 21-year-old defenceman from Yellowknife has committed to the Hobart Statesman, who compete in the New England Hockey Conference and are a NCAA Division III program.
Bulger — who played with the Wolverines for three seasons — had the second most points amongst all blue-liners in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League last year as he scored 12 goals and recorded 49 assists in 54 games.
He also dished out a pair of helpers during the Wolverines’ quarterfinal round loss to the Virden Oil Capitals.
The Statesmen, who are located in Geneva, N.Y., posted a 20-6-2 record last year and made it to NCAA Division III quarterfinals.
