Felton Spencer death: Felton Spencer is no more. Check achievements of Louisville legend, NBA basketball player


NBA veteran basketball player and University of Louisville legend Felton Spencer has passed away. Spencer was 55-year-old. Louisville Men’s Basketball Team posted heartfelt tribute on twitter.

“We’re heartbroken by the passing of UofL great Felton Spencer. Spencer was the Cardinals’ all-time leader in career field goal percentage, the 6th overall pick in the 1990 NBA Draft, & a beloved member of the Louisville community. Our thoughts & prayers are with his loved ones,” Louisville Men’s Basketball Team tweeted.

Spencer was high school basketball player and attended university in Louisville. He also played four full seasons with Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team.

He had averaged 14.9 points and 8.5 rebounds. He had a shooting average of 68.1 per cent from the field during his stay with Cardinals.

Minnesota Timberwolves drafted Spencer sixth overall in 1990.

Spencer had stints of three seasons with Minnesota Timberwolves, and Golden State Warriors. He spent two seasons with New York Knicks. He had brief stints with Orlando Magic and San Antonio Spurs.He played 213 games with Timberwolves, 184 games with Utah Jazz, 166 games with Golden State Warriors, and 50 games with New York Knicks, according to reports.
