How to Watch Stanford vs. UCLA – NCAA Women’s Basketball (1/13/23) | Channel, Stream, Preview

[ad_1]

Two top-10 teams out west meet in a big-time Pac-12 matchup on Friday night, as the No. 2 Stanford Cardinal heads to southern California for a clash with the UCLA Bruins.

After coming one game short of heading back to a national title game, the Cardinal is determined to keep their name as one of the best teams in the country. So far in their 2022-23 campaign, they have certainly shown why they are contenders to play into April. Outside of their loss to the defending national champions, No. 1 South Carolina, back in late November, Stanford has looked dominant, even against other ranked competition. Coming into Friday night, is 3-1 against teams in the top 25, including a 16-point win in their first game of the New Year against then-No. 15 Arizona. Since their loss to the Gamecocks, the Cardinal has won 11-straight games and is the only team left in the Pac-12 with an undefeated record in conference action.

While they are a little further back in the conference standings, the Bruins have been putting together quite the start to their season. Though they dropped a road clash against Oregon State on New Year’s Day, UCLA has pulled off some clutch wins to say in the top 10, including a tight 61-60 victory over rival USC last Sunday. Like Stanford, the Bruins’ lone non-conference loss came at the hands of South Carolina, with UCLA posting wins in seven of their last eight games.

On the hardwood in the women’s game, Stanford has dominated against UCLA. All-time, the Cardinal is 66-27 against the Bruins, picking up wins in four of the last five matchups.
