‘Michael Jordan Wouldn’t Have No Rings if It Weren’t for Scottie Pippen’: Floyd Mayweather Drops a Truth Bomb on NBA Legend

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and basketball icon Michael Jordan know very well what it’s like to be on top of a sport. The two were arguably the greatest players in their respective sports with ‘Money’ being undefeated his entire career, while Jordan won six NBA championships.

However, unlike boxing, basketball is a team sport and requires the effort of a team to win. This is why Mayweather holds Jordan’s teammate and NBA legend Scottie Pippen in very high regard. Moreover, he even praised ‘No Tippin’ in a recent event, also dropping a truth bomb on Jordan.

Floyd Mayweather makes a bold statement

Mayweather and Pippen recently made an appearance at an event talking about their fears and struggles. However, at the end of the event, Mayweather praised Pippen, claiming that Jordan did not have any championships before Pippen became an all-star player.

Remember, a guy like Scottie Pippen, hell of a player you know. Remember Michael Jordan wouldn’t have no rings if it weren’t for Scottie Pippen,” he said.

While many argue how much Pippen impacted the Chicago Bulls, Jordan was the standout star. However, it is true that Jordan won all of his rings with Pippen. In addition, during Jordan’s retirement, Pippen was able to take the Bulls to the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals where they would be delimited by bitter rivals, The New York Knicks.

Both Pippen and Jordan were complimentary to each other, and it is safe to say neither man would have won any rings if it weren’t for the other.

Floyd Mayweather’s docuseries is inspired by Michael Jordan’s last dance

Mayweather announced that he will be making his own documentary series showcasing his career and life out of the ring. Moreover, it will take inspiration from Michael Jordan’s Last Dance, which showcased his life as the best basketball player of his generation. In an interview with TMZ Mayweather claimed that he wanted the world to see another side of him and not believe the public opinion about him.
