Over/under picks for Jayson Tatum, Ja Morant, more

We have six games tipping off Saturday night in the Association, with the first game at 7 p.m. ET between the Celtics and Hornets and the last game at 10 p.m. ET between the Mavericks and Trail Blazers. There are a ton of appealing matchups throughout the night that will provide numerous betting opportunities for basketball fans and bettors.

Below we’ll look at a few of our favorite player prop bets courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook for tonight’s action in the NBA.

Best NBA prop bets: Advice, picks for Saturday night

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook

Jayson Tatum OVER 8.5 rebounds vs. Hornets (-112). The 24-year-old star forward is playing at an MVP level this season, averaging 30.6 points, 8.2 rebounds (career-high), and 4.2 assists per game. Tatum has been crushing it on the boards over his past 10 games, averaging 8.6 rebounds per game. However, he’s gone over 8.5 rebounds in only four of those contests.

When Boston played Charlotte in November, Tatum only recorded three rebounds as he went off for 35 points to lead the Celtics to a blowout 35-point win. With that being said, bettors might shy away from this prop bet for the reasons above. But we will stay the course and stick with Tatum, as the Hornets have allowed the fourth-most rebounds per game to small forwards this season. Charlotte has also given up the second-most total rebounds per game (55) to opponents.

Ja Morant OVER 1.5 three-pointers made vs. Pacers (-104). The All-Star point guard is not shooting the ball well from beyond the arc this season (31.8 percent), but that’s not going to scare us away from taking his three-point prop against a Pacers’ squad on the second night of a back-to-back.

This season, Indiana has struggled to defend the perimeter, allowing opponents to shoot 36.6 percent from three-point range (ranked 25th in the NBA). That number has gone up over the past three games to 38.9 percent. To make matters worse, the Pacers are also giving up the sixth-most three-point makes to the point guards this season. The last time we saw Morant in action, he went off for 35 points (14/25 FG and 3/5 3pt) against the Spurs on Wednesday night. The 23-year-old point guard has gone over 1.5 three-pointers made in five out of his past 10 games.

Jarrett Allen to recording a double-double vs. Timberwolves (+115). The 24-year-old big man has put together another solid campaign this season, averaging 13.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Allen and second-year power forward Evan Mobley have solidified the Cavs’ frontcourt and are one of the reasons why Cleveland is one of the better teams in the East.

Allen has a tough matchup tonight as he’ll be facing T’Wolves All-Star center Rudy Gobert. However, we saw Suns center DeAndre Ayton post a double-double (11 points and 11 rebounds) against Gobert on Friday night. In 36 games this season, the 6-foot-11 Allen has recorded a double-double 16 times. Furthermore, the young center has produced a double-double in four of his past 10 games. If the Cavs want to end their five-game road trip with a win, they will need Allen to outduel Gobert on both ends tonight.
